Sources close to the Bulls have confirmed that Tyrus Thomas is likely to be traded to the Charlotte Bobcats after the Bulls seemingly lost out in the Tracy McGrady lottery. The Bobcats will send a projected first round pick and the expiring contracts of Acie Law and Flip Murray to Chicago in the deal.
There's great value in the deal for the Bulls as they receive salary cap relief for the upcoming offseason and receive a quality draft pick. The Bulls continue to make moves that clear space on the salary cap. It's believed Chicago would like to land two marquee free agents this offseason.
