Personally, I'm not convinced it is important whatsoever at this point. I'd like for Rose to get the additional experience, but that's about the only real positive I see.
On the other hand, if we missed the playoffs, it gives us that much better of a shot at another player that can help next season and beyond. Maybe Stern could rig the lottery to get us another #1 pick to go along with signing LeBron this offseason.

Playoffs aren't that important unless you can make a run. This Bulls teams isn't doing that.
The higher the first round pick, the better.
Chicago would be electric if LeBron signed w/ the Bulls. I don't see it, but I'm quietly optimistic the Bulls will make a big splash. Wade would be a great fit too.

Bosh would probably be the best fit with Rose, but LBJ is obviously the best player in the NBA and that team would be electric. Odds are still best that LBJ stays in Cleveland or goes to one of the NY teams.
