After the Michigan Wolverines (8-6, 2-2 in the Big Ten) had taken a 31-14 lead in the first half, freshman Drew Crawford scored 11 consecutive points, including nailing three from behind the arc to cut the deficit to six points. Crawford finished the contest with 25 points and added eight boards as the Wildcats rallied to defeat Michigan 68-62 on Sunday for their first Big Ten victory of the season before 11,81 at Crisler Arena in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Michael “Juice” Thompson tossed in 15 points and dished out five assists, Luka Mirkovic had 13 points and pulled down eight rebounds and John Shurna added 11 points.
Northwestern’s next contest is Wednesday at Welsh-Ryan Arena against Big Ten foe Wisconsin.
