Wednesday's 74-69 loss at Cincinnati extends DePaul's losing streak to 9 games, their longest drought of the season so far.
Leading the way for the hapless Demons was senior guard Will Walker, who poured in 24 on the night, and once again Mac Koshwal proved to be an inside-force, scoring 19 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Yancy Gates put up a career-high 23 points for the Bearcats and freshmen Lance Stephensen had his first career double-double snagging 10 boards and scoring 18 points.
Cincinatti got the win in spite of a paltry 14-32 from the free throw line and a failure to connect any of their 9 attempts from beyond the arc. This marks the second time this year they've finished a game without a three-pointer.
DePaul now moves to 1-11 since the dismissal of Jerry Wainwright on January 10, their only win a home upset against Big East rival Marquette. They are now 8-19 on the season, and only 1-14 in Big East play.
The Demons will be back in action to wrap-up their regular season this Saturday against Rutgers.

At home Saturday, DePaul fell to Big East rival Louisville 68-59. The loss extends the Blue Demons losing-streak to eight games, and they now stand at 1-13 in conference play.
With seven minutes to play in regulation, DePaul sophomore Mike Bizoukas knocked down a three-pointer to give the Demons their last lead of the game. But once they went ahead, Louisville launched into a 9-0 run that spanned four minutes and ultimately proved too much for the Demons to overcome.

Saturday at the Allstate Arena, DePaul kept its lead over fourth ranked Syracuse through the first 36 minutes of the game. Had the Demons held on, it would have marked their first win over a top-5 team since January 2006. But, once the Orange went ahead with 3:34 to go, they never looked back.
Up to that point, the 11, 554 fans packed into The State sat awestruck watching DePaul jump out to a 21-8 lead, extending their margin by as many as 18 before the first half drew to a close. Before Saturday, Syracuse had yet to face a deficit of that magnitude.

CHICAGO - Starting with Saturday's game against fourth-ranked Syracuse, the DePaul athletics department is providing fans a chance to help with relief efforts following the earthquake in Haiti.
At every men's basketball home game for the rest of the season, there will be booths at each entrance to Allstate Arena with information regarding the Haiti Project (www.haitiproject.org). There will also be an opportunity to win autographed team basketballs through the purchase of raffle tickets. All funds raised through the raffle will benefit the Haiti Project. This is a joint effort by DePaul University and the DePaul athletics department.
Saturday's game against the Orange is also part of Hall of Fame Weekend at DePaul. Festivities are scheduled throughout the weekend including the Hall of Fame Banquet on Saturday evening and the women's basketball game against Marquette on Sunday afternoon.
