The White Sox have played 12 games so far this Spring and the stats are already starting to shape up a little. Some guys have gotten off to a hot start, others have been struggling. Here's a quick look of some of the good and some of the bad.
The Good
Alejandro De Aza - .450 AVG, 9 hits, 2 SB - De Aza has turned heads early in this Spring and is trying to play himself into a chance at the final spot on the bench. He's going to have to keep up this torrid pace if he wants that spot, but with his speed and defensive ability, he might just be the guy Ozzie's looking for to fill out his roster.
Andruw Jones - .357 AVG, .471 OBP, 3 RBI, 2 SB, 1 3B - Though Kotsay has stepped up his game early in Spring Training as well, Jones is doing eveything he needs to do to endear himself to Guillen and hold down that DH spot. Jones has been a lot more mobile both on the bases and in the field that is painting himself in a much better light than most expected when he was signed.
Alex Rios - .357 AVG, 2 HR, 14 TB, .824 SLG - Rios has a lot to prove to White Sox fans this season. He got off to a terrible start last year and he needs to hit the ball early and often to get many fans back on his side. If he can hit near .300 and hit a few bombs early, that should take care of it. Good start in Arizona, we'll see if it translates to success in Chicago.

ROSEMONT, Ill.---The Chicago Wolves gave up three goals in the second period and could not crack Toronto Marlies goaltender Joey MacDonald as they suffered a 3-0 loss at the Allstate Arena Friday night.
The game marked the first regulation loss for Chicago (41-19-1-5) on home ice since Dec. 27, a span of 17 home matchups. The 40-save shutout by MacDonald (12-18-3) was the third against the Wolves this season, and the first since Nov. 20.
"They had outstanding goaltending tonight; MacDonald really played well," said Wolves Head Coach Don Lever. "We didn't play well the first half of the game. It took us a while to get going, and they came at us and finished us."
Center Tim Brent broke a scoreless tie, 1:16 into the second period when he sent a wrist shot from high in the zone zinging past Wolves goaltender Drew MacIntyre to give Toronto (26-30-6-5) a 1-0 lead.
The Marlies pulled ahead, 2-0, 2:09 later. Defenseman Brendan Mikkelson started the play out behind his own net, carried the puck down the ice and shipped a pass to left wing Kyle Calder, who crashed the net and shoveled it over the goal line.
Oh Ozzie, I knew it was only a matter of time.
After so many delightfullly non-sensical tweets, you had to go and get all political on us.
The same man who gave us such tweets gems as "Big reazon to love my boat no trafic in the ocean" and the infamous "My son oney doing sport elec to have abs if tha help y will doe to," today we got this:
"Oh my god seam penn defended ours president hugo chavez thas easy when you no leave in venezuela and have money lol is a joke shame on y ... "
and this:
"Oh god you are very crazy go and move to our country you will change you mind"
and this:
"Que payaso el gringuito que vive bien chevre en estados unidos." (which roughly translates to "That clown chevre gringo that lives well in the united states.") We all know what "gringuito:" means. Glad to see the sensitivity traning paid off, Ozzie.

On Friday afternoon, Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville made a seemingly subtle announcement that could have a significant impact on who will be between the pipes for the Hawks in the playoffs.
In light of each goalies recent struggles, culminating with Cristobal Huet's removal against Detroit, the starting job is completely up for grabs. After Antti Niemi's strong performance against the Kings, Quenneville's confidence appeared to be at least teased into favoring the rookie. However, after Thursday's practiceQuenneville indicated that both Niemi and Huet would start one of this weekend's games. On Saturday afternoon, the Blackhawks play in Philadelphia, followed by another late-morning start on Sunday in Chicago against the Washington Capitals.
Friday's announcement may have shown that Quenneville is ready to go all in: Huet will start the Saturday matinee against the Flyers, and Quenneville said there's a "good chance" Niemi will start Sunday against the NHL-best Capitals.
